Who Lives in our Nature Reserves? These Biological Surveys Tell the Story Featured

Print Email

Our Nature Reserves protect 1267 acres of land across a wide variety of habitats that are critical for plants and animals.   Recently, biological studies were completed on seven of our reserves, that detail the plants and animals that live there.

These reports were prepared by experts in their fields- listing insects, birds, mammals, and plants found on multiple visits to the reserves.   Remote trail cameras were used to capture the action when people were not around, and photos are included in the reports as well.

Another very valuable element of the biological study reports is that recommendations are made for stewardship of the properties, to further improve the habitats for wildlife.

We invite you to take a dive into these biological study reports and immerse yourself into the fascinating wild communities that make our nature reserves their home.

Please find biological surveys for properties under our Trust here.
