In the mid-1800s the land was cleared for farming and used for pasture and crops until the early 1970s, at which point Cora Munn as the new owner at that time, began a reforestation project that continued for over the next 38 years. The current goal is to allow for a natural progression into mixed nature forest in all areas. Cora Munn’s vision for the property was a refuge for wildlife, with ongoing habitat improvement and wildlife protection. One of the two branches for Marsh Creek originates from a hillside spring on the property. This area is a sensitive conifer valley containing mature natural cedars that now are protected from disturbances. A network of walking trails has been maintained for low impact general access to the property, found at 892 County Road 27, Cramahe Township.
