It also contains a drumlin, a beautiful pond, wetlands, a creek, forests, and retired farmland. Fields are being managed by periodic controlled burns and seed planting to encourage the growth of native prairie species that are beneficial for wildlife. The Northumberland Land Trust gratefully acknowledges the support of Nature Conservancy of Canada who obtained this Nature Reserve from the McEwen family and donated it to the Northumberland Land Trust in 2008 for preservation in perpetuity.
