Northumberland Land Trust  is excited to invite you to the grand re-opening of the Laurie Lawson Outdoor Education Centre on Sunday, August 16th starting at 1 PM.

Last fall, NLT launched a fundraising campaign to revitalize the Laurie Lawson property after it was significantly impacted by the invasive Emerald Ash Borer. The resulting loss of ash trees left the property more vulnerable to storm damage and affected the safety and accessibility of its trails.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the campaign reached its goal of $150,000 to restore this treasured natural space. We are excited to welcome you back and showcase the revitalized property, where the trails have been restored, infrastructure upgraded, and once again safe and accessible for visitors to enjoy.

The opening is a rain or shine event. Limited parking is available, so carpooling is encouraged.

If you are participating in the walk around the reserve, we recommend wearing hiking shoes as well as appropriate hiking attire for all possible weather conditions.

Kindly RSVP to [email protected] to confirm your attendance.

We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with you!
