LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We respectfully acknowledge that Northumberland Land Trust operates across the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig (Mississauga Anishinaabeg) peoples, covered by the Williams Treaties. We recognize that we live and work on a landscape shaped by Indigenous rights, histories, and perspectives, and that these lands continue to be governed by living treaties. As stewards of nature, we at the Northumberland Land Trust are committed to deepening our understanding of our treaty responsibilities and to fostering respectful, reciprocal relationships with Indigenous peoples.
